The FAST range is Rocket's answer to the one real complaint about the Cronometro line: wait time. Larger heating elements and faster-heating brew groups bring the machine up to brewing temperature in around 15 minutes, without giving up the heat exchanger system, the 1.8L insulated copper boiler, or the smart PID temperature management tucked behind the drip tray that the Cronometro range was known for.
Giotto FAST is available with either pump. The R carries Rocket's internal rotary pump — quiet in operation, equally happy running from the internal reservoir or plumbed in direct. The V runs a vibration pump instead — a simpler install and a couple of kilos lighter on the counter. Either way you get a 58mm portafilter, pre-infusion with an aroma function, an integrated shot timer, an OLED display, and dual pressure gauges for reading the extraction as it happens.
Giotto and Mozzafiato are Rocket's two style identities, built on the same FAST engineering underneath. Giotto FAST is available in both R and V; Mozzafiato FAST is currently offered here in R. Both are finished in polished stainless steel or satin black powdercoat, with an integrated cup warmer.
The Rocket FAST range is for anyone who loves the heat-exchanger platform's performance but doesn't want to wait 20+ minutes every morning for it to warm up. Larger heating elements and a faster-recovery brew group get it ready for a first shot in as little as 12 minutes, without giving up the PID-controlled 1.8L boiler, integrated shot timer and dual pressure gauges that make the platform reliable for daily use. Choose the rotary pump (R) if you want to plumb it in or run it hands-off from a tank, or the vibration pump (V) for a simpler tank-only setup — and pick between the classic Giotto or the more compact Mozzafiato body depending on your counter space.
